"There is great musical talent in every part of the country. Much of it never gets heard because of the difficulty of being a single voice in a sea of noise. For every song heard on the radio or band heard in a club, there are thousands more that are playing in someone's basement, bedroom or attic.

The musicians and singers on this record have all enjoyed various levels of success with their musical careers. But these songs were all created in the same attic with the same spirit of collaboration. After a few years, I realized that there were a number of pieces that should be heard as a collection of material that represents the sound of a particular place and time."
